Dan Cortes - Producer

Dan Cortes has worked as an independent contractor and graphic designer for non-profit organizations and entertainment since 2004 and is a passionate screenwriter. His script Joan of Arc won an honorable mention award in the 2001 American Gem Short Screenplay Competition and in 2008 he was awarded a creative inspiration grant for his Feature-length screenplay Penumbria which garnered the attention of a production company with the possibility to direct. A self-educated filmmaker he personally financed, wrote, and directed his short film Eva After shot in 35mm on location in Northern Virginia where he lives with his wife and 8 children.

Rich Mauro - Producer

A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film and Television, Rich Mauro made his feature directing debut with the film "NICK & JANE", starring James McCaffrey, Dana Wheeler Nicholson, Lisa Gay Hamilton, and David Johansen. The film was released internationally and has played throughout Europe and Asia. It has also been released domestically by the distribution company CFP/Lion's Gate in theaters and is currently playing on the cable network.

Prior to directing that film, Rich produced "ESCAPE FROM CHINA", a documentary about the uprisings in Tiananmen Square which aired on PBS's FRONTLINE to mark the anniversary of the uprising. It also played in the Human Rights Film Festival and New York Film Festival.

Rich has worked for some of the top firms including MTV, Elecktra Records, Jerry Lewis Telethon and Good Morning America throughout his career as a filmmaker in New York. Aside from music videos and special projects, his first two student short films include "A New Beginning " and "Another Story" which was nominated for student Academy Award and won recognition for his Excellency in Cinematography.

Mauro has also been a guest speaker at various schools.

Marlene Gillette-Ibern - Language and Historical Consultant

Marlene Gillette-Ibern is an attorney from Puerto Rico who presently resides in the United States of America. She has worked for Human Life International and the Eternal Word Television Network. At present she serves as legal advisor on life and family issues to Vida Humana Internacional, the Hispanic Branch of Human Life International. On behalf of Human Life International, she has traveled to Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Spain and Turkey. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Centro Guadalupe Vida y Familia, a Catholic pro-life organization in Puerto Rico. Her first pro-life project was in 1991, with a diocesan request for an article on Our Lady of Guadalupe. Over the years, she deepened her research so that it has now become a book draft with the title Our Lady of Guadalupe: An Encounter with the Patroness of Life.

  1. Ms. Gillette-Ibern is quite a well traveled individual! Having heard her speak, I know that she is well prepared, and does not take her preparation for granted, as she continuously researches to remain up to date. I personally can not wait to see the publication of her book on Our Lady of Guadalupe!

  2. I agree! I've met her too! And her love for Our Lady of Guadalupe and her dedication and passion in defense of the unborn is unmatched, and should be a lesson for all!
